• Ensure a transparent and fair book challenge review and consistent policy for public meeting room use.

• Publish the library's annual budget online.
• Issue press releases after each board meeting.

✅ Smart Policy and Strategic Growth

• Ensure compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
• Align library policies with Illinois state law and Constitution.
• Develop a 10-year strategic plan for the district.
• Regularly review and update board policies.

✅ Innovation and Community Engagement

• Explore the use of artificial intelligence to enhance library management and services.
• Strengthen partnerships with local schools, community colleges, and NIU.
• Maintain the library’s financial health and ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer funds.
• Pursue grant funding for new initiatives to enhance library services.
